Today, I went for a check-up for the back pain I had for a month now. I had an X-Ray and CT Scan.
It took a while to have my test approved from the insurance company of our company so I had my test completed past 12:30 in the afternoon. When I went back to get my record in the out patient department that happens to share with the emergency room of the said hospital, I noticed all the nurses are in high gear, seems that someone is having an emergency.
The nurse sent me off to lunch since they're quite busy with the emergency, I obliged since I was hungry. I took my time eating lunch and even decided to go pass by the bank on my way back. When I reached the hospital, I noticed more people are inside the ER and none of the staff are in the OPD, so I decided to have a sit and observe things.
I come to observed the parties with the patients inside the ER. The first family was sent to the ICU after a couple of minutes, then a tricycle was rushing with horns all out with an unconscious man (pale like dead). At this time, I am now well aware of the presence of the angel of death and said to myself, someone will die. Minutes after, when the wife of the unconscious man came out crying, I know that the man was dead. The wife was weeping and saying this phrase: "kawawa naman ang anak ko, bata pa naman ang asawa ko..." which means, "pity to my child, my husband is still young..."
After hearing that lady crying, I can still feel the angel of death, then I noticed the other guy inside (he was in there before I arrived), he looks dead as well. Moments later, the relatives started to cry - I know he was dead.
So I decided to take my records and pay my bill (the doctor was not accredited with my insurance) and went home. I drove my bike relatively slower than my slowest driving.
When I arrived in my apartment, I decided to watch TV, then the breaking news came: "Sec. Robredo's body is recovered" and he was dead as well. Sad since I like the guy - the only one amongst all the popular cabinet member of PNoy.
Sad. August 2012.
